I started this blog in early 2005 as an outlet for my creative writing skills (or lack of) and also with an idea about writing about a renovation project my family is undertaking.

My wife and I are no strangers to renovating, having completely gutted our first house, a 1905 brick duplex, and redoing everything from the exterior sheathing inwards. So this new (old?) project is nothing new for us. Just another 60 years of dust and mouse poop!
So as time goes on, I'll blog about some of the interesting and surprising things we find and our progress.
So, here we go again!
